Zoey McColl
Zoey was able to find her confidence through dance and hopes to help others do the same. She truly feels that every student that walks into her class should feel welcome and appreciated no matter what their ability level. Zoey started dancing at the age of two and trained in ballet, jazz, tap, acro, contemporary and hip-hop both recreationally and competitively over the years. She has been teaching acro, ballet, jazz and contemporary for the past 7 years. Zoey is a 2023 graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA (Major in Performance Dance and Minor in Psychology). Through her post-secondary studies, she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, African, Cuban modern and street styles. In June 2023, Zoey was accepted into a program that allowed her to train in New York for 3 weeks. She has had performance opportunities such as Fall for Dance North in their Mainstage Program, dancing in Disney at Dance the World and competing for Team Canada at the Dance World Cup bringing home a Gold medal. Zoey continues to grow her knowledge for teaching through certifications such as her Acrobatic Arts, Alixa Flexibility, Progressive Ballet Training, High Five Training and is CPR as well as First Aid certified. She is currently in the process of completing her ADAPT jazz and tap training. Zoey wants every person that takes her class to feel proud of themselves and enjoy what they are doing for whatever length of time they continue in dance. Her passion to share dance and the many health benefits are her priority. Zoey looks forward to spreading her knowledge and passion for dance.
